Assessment Summary
Use the journal entries, discussions and questioning throughout the project to monitor understanding and gauge student progress. Utilise group dynamics rubric throughout the project to observe and record identified skills during the project. Make use of my favourite food sheet to understand the reasons of why they like particular food items. Use food pyramids prepared by students to check their understanding of nutrition requirements. Use food journals throughout the unit to help students keep a track of their daily food intake and application the learnings of project in day to day life. Use project planning sheets to involve students in planning the different stages of project. Use research guide to assist students during the research work and help them record their research findings. Make use of observation sheet during the lab work to help students record their observation in systematic manner and to monitor their progress during lab work. Use weekly menu checklist to help students monitor their progress and understand the expectations. Gauge students’ understanding of balanced diet using their weekly menu.
