Student Objectives/Learning Outcomes
General
Students will:
- Understand and distinguish cause, effect, sequence, and correlation in historical events, including the long and short-term causal relations
- Gain insight about a specific era in time
- Develop research techniques, skills of studying and analysing of facts, writing, listening and speaking skills
- Learn to frame questions that can be answered by historical study and research
- Learn to distinguish relevant from irrelevant information, essential from incidental information, and verifiable from unverifiable information in historical narratives and stories
- Develop technological literacy
- Learn to collaborate
- Develop a planned approach to research and study
Specific
Students will be able to:
- Correlate that all scientific achievements are the product of the “need” of a particular time
- Gain knowledge of historical figures using an interviewing technique
- Explain how major events are related to each other in time
- Analyse and priortise different inventions based on its impact on our lives
- Compare life with and without inventions and appreciate the scientific temperament
- Suggest the invention they would like to make in order to make our life better
