Character Analysis Part II

Picture in your mind how the main character must have felt throughout the story.  Using the graphic organizer below, select four emotions and find support from the story for these emotions.

Using your character analysis graphic organizers, select at least three traits or emotions that you connect with.  Describe this connection and the similarities.

Trait or Emotion Connection to Self
Hard working I work hard in everything I do.  I try my best at school and I also play soccer, take ballet class, and piano lessons.  I practice everyday and also do my chores.  I try to help my little brother, too.
Shy I do not like to talk in front of other people.  I have a hard time meeting new people.  I don’t know what to say.
Humiliated I get really embarrassed when kids make fun of me because I do not have a lot of stuff.  I don’t have labels on my clothes and my parents don’t drive fancy cars.
Desperate I had this really big report due.  It was so hard.  I didn’t think I could do a good job.  I felt really desperate.  I was too shy to ask for help.  But my teacher saw that I was not acting like myself and took the time to help me.
