Resources for Teachers to Get Involved
If you are a teacher interested in getting involved with the Intel® Teach Program, there is action you can take. Share program information with your Local Education Agency representatives. Access to free resources is available in the Information Toolkit to the right.

Program model

Intel Teach is implemented through a train-the-trainer model. A Local Education Agency (LEA), such as a school, district, or state agency, applies to participate in the program. Upon acceptance, the LEA identifies Master Teachers who are intermediate computer users and have experience with technology integration. Master Teachers then recruit and train Participant Teachers (their colleagues).

Rationale

The program model requires an application to participate submitted by the LEA. Professional development time is a valuable resource; district/school administration commitment is needed to make decisions on how to best use this time. For these reasons, the Intel Teach application to participate must be submitted by a representative with authority to make commitments on behalf of the LEA. Once approved, the LEA works closely with Master Teachers to implement the program in their district.
